Ling-Yu Tai | Between dream and reality
On the skin is the scar, What is pricked into the skin is the wound The tattoo appears on the skin The dream is embedded in life Life is depicted in the dream. What happened in the past leaves a mark on the soul. It later becomes a material in the dream. Almost everyone has experienced this. The end of the dream is the beginning of life. It is like a cycle, part of everyday life. But how can we characterise the state between dream and reality? Ling-Yu Tai does not interpret the content of her dreams, but the perception of the subconscious. She is interested in how this abstract consciousness can be visualised. Ling-Yu Tai, born in 1985 in Teipeh Taiwan, has been a student in the Painting / Textile Art class of Prof Ulrich Reimkasten at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle since 2011.
